What fragmentation does
- Cut a playing video, live — straight lines, rectangles, circles, triangles, or freehand drawing. Cut before playback or during it, as many times as you like.

How is this different from cropping in ordinary video editors?
Many video editors can cut a shape out of a video — features known as masks, mattes, or rotoscoping. But those only overlay a shape on a single stream: the cut-out piece cannot move on its own. In MOVINdow, each cut region becomes a separate, fully synchronized player: it keeps playing while being moved, rotated, and scaled — and can be cut again at any time. The cut is computed geometrically in real time on-device. There is no pre-rendering and no generation time, which is why fragmentation works live, even on a phone.

- Yes — MOVINdow does exactly this, in real time, free, on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
- Does cutting a video change the original file?
- No. Fragmentation happens only inside the player — the original video in your photo library stays untouched and is never overwritten. You can cut, reset, and cut again as many times as you like.
- Can I keep the result after cutting?
- Yes, two ways: save the whole arrangement as a scene and restore it later, or use crop (shapes, freehand cutout, or face-tracking) to save the shape as a new video file. The original stays unchanged either way.
- Does it need AI or cloud processing?
- No. Fragmentation is real-time geometric computation on-device; MOVINdow itself does not upload your videos.
- Can I use my saved cut shapes on other videos?
- Yes — cut-line presets can be applied to any video, and shared between MOVINdow apps.
